Let's not exaggerate things. Through USAID, the U.S. Government historically concede resources to a multitude of Agencies worldwide, supposedly working to improve development conditions inside countries.

In that regard, the Agency "Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity" (MACI), working in one of the most corrupt countries on Earth, appears well deserving of that aid.

Unfortunately, the frequent denunciation by MACI of the corrupt practices of some areas of the leftist government of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), made the Mexican President consider MACI a seditious agency, instead of conducting a detailed investigation of the denounced corruption cases.

We cannot forget that the Government of Lopez Obrador maintains a friendly relationship with the dictatorship of the narco-government of Maduro in Venezuela, besides, he just confirmed his dangerous Castro-Communist ideology by granting exile to the Bolivian criminal Evo Morales, who left Bolivia voluntarily without a word, and once he felt safe in Mexico, the coward ‘king of cocaine’ started to claim his ‘innocence’.

The first action of AMLO’s mandate as Mexican President was to cancel the contract and paralyze the well-advanced works (at a cost of $5 billion to the State) https://eugenio-magdalena.medium.com/the-new-mexican-mesias-5d980868e171country) of a much-needed new airport for the city of Mexico. Allegedly, because he didn’t “own” the project.’

As a losing candidate to the Presidency of Mexico several times, he always claimed ‘fraud’ after each of his electoral losses.

So, his claims of “treason”, or “coup d’ tat”, must be approached with caution.
